3rd Grade Teacher in Liberal, KS, delivering standards-based instruction in Spanish in two content areas within a dual-language immersion program alongside English instruction in two other content areas. Develops and translates lesson plans, uses sheltered/cooperative/discovery learning strategies, and engages students through bilingual instruction. Responsible for assessing academic and social growth, preparing report cards, maintaining records, communicating with parents, supervising student movement, and administering standardized testing. Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education (or related field) and eligibility for a Kansas Teaching License or Postgraduate Professional License with appropriate endorsement; native or near-native proficiency in English and Spanish; familiarity with second language acquisition pedagogy; ability to collaborate with staff and engage families.
