Job Summary
Plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in an elementary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Develops and administers district curriculum, creates lesson plans and instructional materials, assesses student learning, differentiates instruction including for students with special needs, maintains records and communicates with parents, collaborates with staff, and promotes a safe, classroom environment aligned to district goals and policies. The successful candidate will integrate knowledge of current teaching methods, data analysis, and differentiated instruction to support student learning and professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold valid Ohio teaching license or certificate
- Must have demonstrated skill in teaching the identified content
- Must be open to actively participating in staff development opportunities to promote professional growth
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, staff and parents
- Must have the full support of the Building Principal and Assistant Superintendent
