3rd Grade Teacher

Provide instruction to 3rd grade students as part of the Muscatine Community School District. The teacher delivers instruction aligned to local standards and the district curriculum, uses multiple forms of evidence of student learning, analyzes performance data to guide planning and decision-making, and fosters a classroom culture of respect, engagement, and equity. Responsibilities include planning high-quality lessons, employing research-based instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs, monitoring student progress with assessments, communicating effectively with students, families, colleagues, and the community, participating in professional growth and adhering to district policies and professional responsibilities. Other duties as assigned, including supervision during duty time and participation in parent conferences and district in-services. Minimum qualifications require appropriate State of Iowa certification. Location involves 9 district schools with potential for varied duties and environments. ADA compliance and ability to manage classroom and work conditions are noted.
