Job Summary
3rd Grade Teacher at Frametown Elementary School. Responsible for planning and delivering instruction aligned with West Virginia Content Standards and Objectives, using 21st Century Technology to enhance learning, delivering rigorous instruction, and supporting ethical and democratic values. Develops and implements lesson plans, adapts instruction for diverse learners (including collaboration with special education staff for IEPs), conducts ongoing assessments, maintains records, communicates with parents, and participates in staff development and school activities. Maintains a positive classroom climate, follows district and state policies, and performs additional duties as assigned. This is a 200-day contract with salary determined by the State Minimum Salary Schedule; start for the 2026-2027 school year.
Required Qualifications
- Valid teaching certificate licensing the individual to teach in the specializations and grade levels pursuant to WV Code §18A-3-2
- Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code §18-5-15c and/or §18A-3-10, as appropriate
- Meet the qualifications outlined in WV Code §18A-3-2a
