Job Summary
Plan and prepares instruction for 3rd-grade students using state, district, and school curricula, integrating students’ social and formative needs; adhere to Utah Core Standards and ensure developmentally appropriate, linguistically accessible lessons; create a classroom climate conducive to learning, collaborate with families and professional colleagues, and engage in data-informed planning and instructional improvements; support English language development through reading, writing, listening, and speaking; utilize technology to support learning; maintain regular attendance and compliance with district, state, and school policies; preferred qualifications include Spanish language skills and an ESL endorsement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, or will complete a bachelor degree program prior to the contract start date.
- Valid Professional or Associate Utah Early Childhood or Elementary Educator License, a valid Elementary Educator License from another state that is transferrable to Utah, or will complete a teaching program prior to the contract start date that will lead to a Professional Utah Early Childhood or Elementary Educator License.
- Professional communication skills including, but not limited to: excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities; and empathic listening and persuasive speaking skills.
