Job Summary
Teach 3rd grade Science and Social Studies, delivering learning activities aligned to core standards, helping students develop essential competencies, and supporting their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Responsibilities include planning and executing engaging lessons, managing classroom behavior, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to implement curriculum and instructional strategies. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are required to effectively support elementary learners and communicate with families.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
