Job Summary
Plan, implement, and reflect on data-driven instruction to foster academic and social-emotional growth in 3rd grade. Set individualized goals, differentiate lessons, and apply backward design to meet diverse learning needs while holding high expectations for all students. Manage classroom culture by reinforcing school-wide policies, establishing a supportive environment, and building trusting relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Collaborate with grade-level teams, interventionists, and the principal to uphold the school's mission and realize student potential. Submit a 30-45 minute video lesson and pre-interview work, followed by an on-site interview. Start date is immediate.
Required Qualifications
- Maryland State Teacher Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Eligible for hire by Baltimore City Public Schools
- Passion for working with students from historically resilient communities
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of teaching experience in a public school
- Experience teaching in a predominantly African American environment
