Job Summary
Plan and implement lesson plans that fulfill district curriculum requirements and provide instruction in math and science for 3rd grade, including accommodations for students’ diverse learning styles. Develop and implement instructional strategies, assess student learning styles, modify curricula in collaboration with special education staff, and plan activities aligned with TEA guidelines. Manage classroom behavior, supervise instructional aides and volunteers, and maintain records. Communicate professionally with parents and community members; participate in staff development and comply with district policies. Post results and materials to support student growth and development and sponsor extracurricular activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training/work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
