Job Summary
Implement lesson plans and deliver instruction in accordance with the established curriculum while maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Foster student engagement and supervise learners during class time, transitions, and activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators, providing daily feedback and reporting issues or concerns to the regular teacher or school administration. Adhere to district policies and emergency procedures, utilizing classroom materials and technology as specified while leaving the room organized for the returning teacher.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Willingness to go through and pass the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test
- Ability to quickly establish rapport with students and adapt to different classroom settings
- Strong classroom management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with the school's policies and procedures
- Flexibility and adaptability to different teaching assignments
- Completed background check and clearance
- Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods of time, as these happen throughout the eight-hour day
