Job Summary
Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities tailored to infants' needs and interests. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff within the classroom to maintain high-quality care and education. Monitor and document each child's developmental progress, adjusting care and learning strategies accordingly. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that complies with all health and safety regulations. Engage with families regularly to share observations, provide guidance, and support their involvement in their child's early learning. Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and participate in ongoing professional development. This role includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus and offers a competitive salary, health benefits, 401K, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- NYS B-2 Certification
- A Bachelor's degree in any field in addition to 1 year of teaching experience with children under 1 and a qualified study plan
- Knowledge of child developmental milestones and best practices in care and education
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a toddler classroom
- Familiarity with NYC, and NYS state regulations governing infant care and early childhood education
