3D Environment Artist - Unreal 5 MMO Game Prototype
Remote · Colombia
Job Summary
Remote, full-time contract to contribute as a 3D Environment Artist on an Unreal Engine 5 MMO prototype. You will own the creation of three distinct biomes (taiga, desert, and underground cave system) from blockout through final polish, assembling both marketplace assets and original content into cohesive environments. Responsibilities include building modular environment kits (terrain, rocks, foliage, structures), setting up lighting, atmosphere, and composition for cinematic recording, and ensuring visual cohesion and tonal alignment with the project. Collaborate closely with a generalist tech artist, work within daily review cycles, flag scope risks early, and adapt to a prototype-driven workflow. Requires 5+ years of environment art experience, strong Unreal Engine 5 skills, solid PBR/materials knowledge, terrain/foliage expertise, and clear written/spoken English. Nice-to-have: sandbox/MMO experience, procedural world-building familiarity, and experience dressing environments for video capture or cinematic purposes.

- Solid understanding of lighting, composition, and world-building
- Experience with terrain tools and foliage systems
- Comfortable working with marketplace and kitbash assets, and assembling them into something coherent
- Ability to work quickly and autonomously in a prototype-driven workflow
- Good written and spoken English for daily communication and collaboration
