Job Summary
Develop detailed 3D design drawings and specifications using CAD software to support mechanical equipment and plant design. Conduct engineering calculations to validate designs and ensure compliance with Australian and international standards. Manage design projects from concept through production, coordinating with manufacturing, quality assurance, and procurement to meet project requirements. Collaborate with engineers, managers, clients, and suppliers to resolve design issues and implement improvements. Provide technical guidance to junior team members and contribute to the development of new design tools.
Required Qualifications
- Suitable certification
- At least two years of experience in a similar environment
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and standards
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
