3D Artist - Vic/SA/Qld

3D Artist position for Liquid Development studio (Australia: Adelaide/Brisbane/Melbourne preferred; other Australian cities possible as remote). Responsibilities include creating high-quality real-time 3D assets (characters, environments, props, materials), developing polished models, textures, shaders, and materials optimized for game engines, and ensuring assets meet technical and performance requirements. You will collaborate with concept artists, designers, animators, and technical artists through the production pipeline, participate in reviews, and push visual quality while adhering to engine limitations. Required skills include strong portfolio of real-time game assets, proficiency with Maya/Blender/3ds Max/ZBrush/Substance Painter, solid UV mapping and topology knowledge, experience with Unreal Engine or Unity, and solid understanding of PBR workflows and optimization. The role emphasizes team collaboration, adaptability to different game genres and platforms, and staying current with industry trends. Hybrid working pattern with preference for base in Box Hill (Vic) Australia, with remote consideration.
