Job Summary
Manage a dedicated route of 40–50 residential homes across Oakland, Berkeley, and Piedmont as the trusted handyman for each homeowner. Perform repairs and maintenance spanning carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and smart home installations while delivering outstanding customer service. Track jobs and tasks using the company mobile app. Earn $36/hr with a $1,500 sign-on bonus paid after 30 days and graduated training, plus mileage reimbursement for local driving. Work Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm with no nights, weekends, or on-call shifts. Enjoy 12 paid holidays, 13 PTO days, and 100% company-paid health, vision, and dental insurance.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of handyman, maintenance technician, or multi-trade experience
- Hands-on skill across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall
- Strong troubleshooting ability — can independently assess and fix most issues in a home
- Attention to detail (clean caulk lines, professional patching and painting)
- Customer-friendly attitude — great listener, strong communicator, proactive
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and your own tools
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly (with or without reasonable accommodation)
- Comfortable working on ladders or scaffolding at heights up to 12 feet
- Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
- No nights, weekends, required overtime, or on-call
