Job Summary
Unbox, inventory, and install client hardware such as servers, storage, and network devices into client racks. Manage assets including inventory audits and receiving/shipping equipment. Coordinate technical tasks with internal groups and manage requests to resolution. Install cabling per standards, label cables, and perform troubleshooting of enterprise hardware. Replace components (DIMMs, hard drives, power supplies) and conduct commissioning/decommissioning of hardware. Install cross connects and work with Telco carriers to troubleshoot circuits. Set up and troubleshoot data center infrastructure materials (racks, cabinets, grounding, cable management, copper/fiber cabling, patch panels). Provide desktop support duties (imaging laptops, printers, user accounts) and participate in incident calls/call bridges. Adhere to Change Control Processes; manage tickets within SLA. Maintain strong communication with clients and colleagues, supporting 24/7 operations as needed and enabling rapid incident resolution.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years of data center environment or help desk experience required
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience required
