Job Summary
Complete assigned sanitation tasks, perform equipment breakdown and reassembly, and execute cleaning procedures using hazardous chemicals per Land O'Frost SSOPs. Conduct pre-operational inspections, report equipment inadequacies, and respond to USDA sanitation requests. Maintain chemical storage rooms, monitor non-production areas, and perform microbial swabbing. Execute packaging setup verifications, configure T-Sizers and Risco's, and handle formulation tasks including seal insertion and auger maintenance. Adhere to all food safety, quality, and GMP procedures while passing required chemical, lockout/tagout, and HAZMAT training. Work in variable temperatures, wet environments, and with high-pressure hoses.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, comprehend, and carry out or re-communicate verbally the direction of your supervisor.
- Must not be allergic to chemicals.
- Must be capable of acquiring a license for all types of jacks and lifts.
- Able to work in variable temperatures of between 30 and 120 degrees on same shift.
- Work in wet environment 100% of shift.
- Work with Dairy or boosted pressure hoses operating from 60 to 175 pounds of pressure for 50% of shift.
- Lift up to 60 pounds frequently.
- Bend; stoop squat push, pull, and turning 50% of shift.
- Stand 50%, walk, 30%, and climb ladders 10% of shift.
- Must have vision of, or correctable to, 20/20.
- Must not have Acrophobia.
- Must weigh less than 375 pounds in order to be able to wear fall protection.
