Job Summary
Licensed 310T Mechanic needed to perform repairs/inspections and diagnose electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel vehicles. Use vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes and adjust engine/vehicle control modules. Respond to road calls for emergency repairs, review and complete driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, and document work in fleet maintenance software. Test-drive trucks after service, assist teammates as needed, and interact professionally with drivers. Adhere to safety standards set by the Ministry of Transport and Waste Connections of Canada. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2–3 PM start with 9 hours per day, occasional Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed 310T Mechanic
- Proficiency in diesel vehicle diagnostic tools
- Preventative maintenance and repair
- Hydraulic experience is a plus
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements
- Ability to perform repairs and inspections on diesel vehicles
- Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems
- Experience with fleet maintenance software programs
- Ability to perform road calls and test drives
- Professional interaction with drivers
