Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic responsible for repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks and all models of trailers to customer and industry-standard specifications. Responsibilities include performing repairs, basic welding, communicating completion times and costs, monitoring profitability, submitting work orders, maintaining inventory, preparing replacement part lists, and ensuring cleanliness and safety per EH&S standards. Requires 2–5 years of diesel mechanic experience, Ontario 310T/310J apprenticeship/licence, tool ownership or acquisition, and valid G or AZ license. Pay ranges $35.00-$45.00 per hour; benefits include health, dental, vision, vacation, holidays, retirement plan, virtual health services, boot allowance, and EAP. Location noted as Chicago, IL, US with in-person work.
Required Qualifications
- Two to Five years of diesel mechanic experience in heavy-duty trucking
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Own tools or willingness to purchase tools
- Valid G-class driver's license and/or AZ license with good driving record
