Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic responsible for repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers, basic welding, informing customer/manager of completion times and service expenses, monitoring job profitability, submitting work orders for invoicing, maintaining inventory and parts lists, and adhering to health/safety standards. Requires 2-5 years of diesel mechanic experience in heavy-duty trucking, licensed 310T/310J or apprenticeship in Ontario, own tools or ability to acquire them, and a valid G-class or AZ license. Work location is El Paso, TX. Pay ranges from $35–$45 per hour based on experience; benefits include health/dental/vision, vacation, retirement plan, boot allowance, and EAP.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs.
- Valid G-class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
