Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic - Heavy Duty Trucks based in Columbus, OH. Responsibilities include repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers, basic welding, informing customers/managers of completion times and expenses, monitoring job profitability, submitting work orders for invoicing, maintaining inventory and supplies, preparing replacement part lists, and ensuring adherence to environmental, health and safety standards. Candidates should have 2-5 years of diesel mechanic experience in the heavy-duty sector, hold or be eligible for 310T/310J skilled trades licensing in Ontario, bring own tools (or willingness to purchase), and possess a valid G-class or AZ license. Pay is based on experience; benefits include health, dental, vision, vacation, retirement plan, and other programs.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2+ years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess own tools and/or willingness to purchase tools
- Valid G-class driver’s license and/or AZ with good driving record
