Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic - Heavy Duty Trucks (310T) needed to repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers to customer/spec standards. Responsibilities include performing repairs, welding, communicating times and costs, monitoring job profitability, submitting work orders for invoicing, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clean, safe work area while adhering to EH&S standards. Requires 2–5 years in heavy-duty diesel repair, a registered 310T/310J or apprenticeship, own tools or willingness to purchase, and a valid G-class or AZ license. Pay ranges $35–$45/hour; benefits include health/dental/vision, holidays, retirement plan, boot allowance, and more. The role is based in Norfolk, VA (US).
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
