Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Duty Trucks role focused on repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks and all models of trailers to industry-standard specifications. Responsibilities include performing repairs to customer vehicles and trailers, basic welding, communicating estimated completion times and costs to customers/managers, monitoring profitability per job, submitting work orders for invoicing, maintaining inventory and supplies, listing required replacement parts, and adhering to environmental, health, and safety standards. Requires 2–5 years of diesel mechanic experience in heavy-duty, registration/licensing as 310T/310J trades in Ontario, tool ownership or willingness to purchase tools, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and a valid G-class or AZ license. Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs.
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
