Diesel Mechanic for heavy-duty trucks and trailers (310T) based in Phoenix, AZ (Canada-origin company). Responsibilities include repairing customer vehicles and trailers, basic welding, informing customers/managers of completion times and costs, monitoring job profitability, submitting work orders for invoicing, maintaining inventory, and ensuring safety standards. Requires 2-5 years of heavy-duty diesel experience, Ontario 310T/310J skilled trades license, own tools (or willingness to purchase), and a valid G-class or AZ license. Pay ranges from $35.00-$45.00 per hour with benefits including health, dental/vision, vacation, retirement plan, and more. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50+ lbs and exposure to typical shop conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Two to five years of diesel mechanic experience in heavy-duty trucks or industry equivalent
  • Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
  • Possess own tools and/or willingness to purchase tools required for the job
  • Valid G-class driver's license and/or AZ license with good driving record
  • Ability to lift parts up to 50+ lbs
  • Proficient in basic welding
  • Ability to inform customer/manager of completion times and service expenses
  • Commitment to safety and environmental/health standards
  • Ability to perform repairs to customer vehicles and trailers
  • Submit work orders for invoicing
  • Maintain inventory and supplies
  • Prepare list of required replacement parts
