Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic - Heavy Duty Trucks (310T) at Crane Carrier (Canada) Limited. Responsibilities include repairing medium to heavy duty trucks and trailers, basic welding, informing customer/manager of completion times and expenses, monitoring job profitability, submitting work orders for invoicing, maintaining inventory and supplies, preparing replacement part lists, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to environmental, health and safety standards. Required: 2–5 years of heavy-duty diesel experience (apprenticeship 2+ years), registered license or apprentice 310T/310J in Ontario, own tools or ability to purchase, ability to lift 50+ lbs, valid G-class and/or AZ license. Pay ranges $35.00-$45.00 per hour; benefits include health/dental/vision, vacation, holidays, retirement plan, boot allowance, etc. Location noted as Birmingham, AL (US).
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
