Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic responsible for repairing medium to heavy duty trucks and trailers to customer and industry-standard specifications. Perform basic welding and inform customer/manager of completion times, services expenses, and possible changes. Monitor the profit/loss of each job to maximize profitability while maintaining high quality; submit work orders for invoicing; maintain inventory and supplies; prepare list of required replacement parts; ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety standards. Requires two to five years of diesel mechanic experience in heavy-duty industry, registered 310T/310J license or as an apprentice, own tools or ability to acquire tools, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and valid G-class or AZ driver license.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs.
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
