Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic responsible for repairing medium to heavy duty trucks and all models of trailers to customer specifications; performs basic welding; informs customer/manager of completion times, services expenses, and changes; monitors profitability and minimizes warranty claims; submits work orders for invoicing; maintains inventory and parts list; adheres to EH&S standards; physical duties include lifting heavy parts and working in a demanding environment.
Required Qualifications
- Two to five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Valid G-class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
