Job Summary
Repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers to customer and industry specifications; perform basic welding; inform customer/manager of completion times, services expenses, and changes; monitor job profitability while maintaining quality; submit work orders for invoicing; maintain inventory and prepare replacement parts lists; adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards; must have own tools and be able to lift 50+ lbs; valid G or AZ license and apprenticeship/licensed 310T/310J; Austin, TX posting for a diesel/heavy-duty mechanic with pay $35-$45 per hour (base on experience).
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs.
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
