Job Summary
Repair and service medium to heavy-duty trucks and all models of trailers to customer and industry-standard specifications. Perform basic welding. Inform customer/manager of completion times, services expenses, and possible changes. Monitor the profit/loss of each job to maximize profitability while maintaining high quality. Submit work orders for invoicing. Maintain inventory and supplies; prepare list of required replacement parts. Clean and maintain the work area and equipment; adhere to EH&S standards. Requires 2-5 years of diesel mechanic experience, a 310T/310J license or apprenticeship, own tools (or willingness to purchase), and a valid G-class or AZ license. Able to lift 50+ lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Two to Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs.
- Valid G-class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
