Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic for heavy-duty trucks and trailers responsible for repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks and all models of trailers to customer and industry-standard specifications. Responsibilities include performing repairs, basic welding, informing customers/managers of completion times and expenses, monitoring job profitability, submitting work orders for invoicing, maintaining inventory and supplies, and adhering to safety and environmental standards. Successful candidates typically have 2–5 years of diesel mechanic experience, valid 310T/310J license (or apprenticeship), own tools (or willingness to purchase), and a valid G-class or AZ driver’s license. Pay ranges from $35.00 to $45.00 per hour, based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience in heavy-duty industry
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess own tools and/or willingness to purchase tools
- Valid G-class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
