Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic for heavy-duty trucks and trailers responsible for repairing customer vehicles, performing basic welding, informing customers/managers of completion times and expenses, monitoring profitability and minimizing warranty re-work, submitting work orders for invoicing, maintaining inventory and parts lists, and ensuring safety and environmental standards. Requires 2-5 years of diesel mechanic experience, a licensed 310T/310J or apprenticeship, own tools or willingness to purchase, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and a valid G-class or AZ license.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs.
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
