Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic for Heavy Duty Trucks repairs medium to heavy duty trucks and trailers to customer and industry-standard specifications. Responsibilities include performing repairs, basic welding, informing customers of completion times and costs, monitoring profitability, submitting work orders for invoicing, maintaining inventory and supplies, and ensuring safety and environmental standards. Requires 2-5 years of diesel mechanic experience in heavy-duty industry, licensed 310T/310J, own tools or willingness to purchase, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and valid G-class or AZ license.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs.
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
