Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic for Heavy Duty Trucks and trailers. Responsibilities include repairing customer vehicles and trailers, basic welding, informing customers/managers of completion times and expenses, monitoring profitability to minimize warranty claims and re-work, submitting work orders for invoicing, maintaining inventory and supplies, preparing lists of required replacement parts, and ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety standards. Requires 2–5 years of diesel mechanic experience, valid 310T/310J certification (Ontario), own tools or ability to purchase, and a valid G-class/AZ license. Pay based on experience with benefits package; physical demands include lifting heavy parts and working in an environment with dirt, dust, fumes, and noise.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
