Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic for Heavy Duty Trucks (310T) responsible for repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers to customer specifications. Responsibilities include performing repairs, basic welding, informing customers/managers of completion times and costs, monitoring job profitability, submitting work orders for invoicing, maintaining inventory and supplies, preparing replacement part lists, and maintaining a clean, safe work area in compliance with EH&S standards. Requires 2–5 years’ diesel truck experience, 310T/310J license via apprenticeship in Ontario, own tools or ability to acquire them, and a valid G-class or AZ license. Pay ranges from $35.00-$45.00 per hour based on experience; benefits include health/dental/vision, vacation and holidays, retirement plan, boot allowance, and virtual health services.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs.
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
