Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic for heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Responsibilities include performing repairs to customer vehicles and trailers, basic welding, informing customers/managers of completion times and expenses, monitoring profitability of each job, submitting work orders for invoicing, maintaining inventory and supplies, and preparing replacement parts lists. Must adhere to environmental, health and safety standards and lift heavy parts (up to 50+ lbs). Requires 2-5 years of diesel mechanic experience, Ontario license 310T/310J (or apprenticeship), and own tools or ability to acquire them; valid G-class or AZ license. Pay is based on experience ($35.00-45.00 per hour) with benefits including health/dental/vision, vacations, retirement plan, and boot allowance.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
