Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic responsible for repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks and all models of trailers to customer and industry-standard specifications. Responsibilities include performing repairs, basic welding, informing customer/manager of completion times and expenses, monitoring profitability and minimizing warranty re-work, submitting work orders for invoicing, maintaining inventory and supplies, preparing replacement part lists, and ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards. Requires 2–5 years of diesel mechanic experience, Ontario license/apprentice 310T/310J, owning or willingness to purchase tools, and ability to lift 50+ lbs. Also requires a valid G-class or AZ license. Work environment involves exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, noise, and temperature variances with active physical duties.
Required Qualifications
- Two to five years of diesel mechanic experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2+ years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs.
- Valid G-class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
