Job Summary

Diesel Mechanic for heavy-duty trucks and trailers at Crane Carrier (Canada) Limited- Transaxle (Sign on Bonus). Responsible for repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks and all models of trailers to customer and industry-standard specifications. Responsibilities include performing repairs to customer vehicles and trailers, basic welding, informing customer/manager of completion times and expenses, monitoring the profit/loss of each job to maximize profitability while maintaining quality, submitting work orders for invoicing, maintaining inventory and supplies, preparing lists of required replacement parts, and adhering to environmental, health and safety standards. Candidate should have 2-5 years of diesel mechanic experience, be licensed or apprentice 310T/310J with skilled trades in Ontario, own or be willing to purchase tools, and hold a valid G-class or AZ license. Physical demands include lifting up to 50+ lbs and working in a environment with dirt, dust, fumes, and noise.

Required Qualifications

  • Two to Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
  • Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
  • Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
  • Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
