Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic responsibilities include repairing medium to heavy duty trucks and all models of trailers to customer and industry-standard specifications, performing basic welding, informing customers/managers of completion times and expenses, monitoring job profitability, submitting work orders for invoicing, and maintaining inventory and a safe work environment. Successful candidates will have 2-5 years of heavy-duty diesel experience, a 310T/310J license or apprenticeship, own/tools, and the ability to lift heavy parts; valid G or AZ license required.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs.
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
