Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic for heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Responsibilities include performing repairs to customer vehicles and trailers, basic welding, informing customers/managers of completion times and expenses, monitoring profitability of each job, submitting work orders, maintaining inventory and supplies, preparing replacement parts lists, and ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety standards. Requires two to five years of diesel mechanic experience in heavy-duty industry, and possession of or apprenticeship for 310T/310J licenses in Ontario. Pay based on experience: $35.00-$45.00 hourly; benefits include health, dental, vision, vacation, retirement plan, and other perks.
Required Qualifications
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
