Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic responsibilities include repairing medium to heavy duty trucks and trailers, performing basic welding, informing customers/managers of completion times and expenses, monitoring profitability and minimizing warranty work, submitting work orders for invoicing, maintaining inventory and supplies, preparing parts lists, and ensuring a safe, compliant work environment. Successful candidates will have 2–5 years of diesel mechanic experience, a valid 310T/310J license or apprenticeship in Ontario, own or be willing to purchase necessary tools, and a valid G-class or AZ license with a good driving record. The role requires physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and involves working in a hands-on, customer-service oriented setting.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance
- Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs.
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
