Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic responsible for repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers to customer specifications. Performs basic welding, informs customer/manager of completion times and expenses, and monitors profitability for each job while maintaining quality. Submits work orders for invoicing, maintains inventory and supplies, prepares lists of required replacement parts, and adheres to environmental, health and safety standards. Requires ability to lift parts up to 50+ lbs and use appropriate tools; physical duties include lifting, walking, bending, twisting, and pushing in a workshop environment.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
