Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Duty Trucks: Repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers, perform basic welding, inform customer/manager of completion times and expenses, monitor profitability and minimize warranty re-work, submit work orders for invoicing, maintain inventory and supply parts, ensure safe work area and adherence to EH&S standards, lift and move heavy parts up to 50 lbs, work in a physically demanding environment with exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, noise, and temperature variances. Requires 2-5 years of diesel mechanic experience, registration as 310T/310J or apprenticeship in Ontario, own tools, and valid G or AZ license.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
