Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic for heavy-duty trucks and trailers responsible for repairing customer vehicles, performing basic welding, communicating repair times and costs, and monitoring profitability on jobs. Requires 2–5 years of diesel repair experience, a valid 310T/310J license (Ontario) or apprenticeship, own tools or willingness to purchase, ability to lift heavy parts (up to 50 lbs), and a valid G-class or AZ license. Performs duties per customer specifications, adheres to safety/environmental standards, submits work orders for invoicing, maintains tools and work area, and supports continuous improvement in quality and service.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs.
- Valid G-class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
