Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic will repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers, perform basic welding, inform customer/manager of completion times and costs, monitor job profitability, submit work orders for invoicing, maintain inventory and supplies, prepare replacement-part lists, and ensure a safe, high-quality workshop environment. Requires 2–5 years of heavy-duty diesel experience, Ontario 310T/310J licensure or apprenticeship, own tools or ability to acquire them, and a valid G-class or AZ license. Physical work includes lifting heavy parts, operating in a safety-conscious setting, and working in a shop environment.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Valid G-class driver’s license and/or AZ with good driving record
