Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Duty Trucks (310T) responsible for repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers to customer specifications. Duties include performing repairs, basic welding, informing customers/managers of completion times and costs, monitoring job profitability, submitting work orders for invoicing, maintaining inventory and supplies, and preparing replacement part lists. Candidates should have 2-5 years of diesel mechanic experience, a 310T/310J license (or apprenticeship), own or be willing to acquire tools, and hold a valid G-class or AZ license. The role involves physically demanding tasks and adherence to EH&S standards in a shop environment.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs.
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
