Job Summary
Perform repairs to customer vehicles and trailers, including basic welding functions, adhering to industry-standard specifications. Monitor job profit and loss to maximize profitability while minimizing warranty claims and re-work. Submit work orders for invoicing, maintain inventory and supplies, and prepare lists of required replacement parts. Clean work areas and maintain equipment while upholding environmental, health, and safety standards. Lift and move heavy parts exceeding 50 lbs, requiring a valid G-class driver's license and two to five years of heavy-duty diesel experience.
Required Qualifications
- Two - Five years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry (apprenticeship 2plus years)
- Registered license or apprentice 310T / 310J with skilled trades in Ontario
- Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities
- Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs.
- Valid G- class driver's license and/or AZ with good driving record
