Job Summary
Cut and package authorized beef, pork, and poultry items using knives and power equipment per company policies. Wrap, weigh, and price meat cuts while labeling packages to meet COOL, USDA, and safety standards. Update displays, manage date rotation, and receive deliveries to maintain cold chain integrity. Ensure daily sanitation and execute all store procedures including inventory and scale operations. Maintain optimal store performance through teamwork and adherence to merchandising plans.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Must be able to read, write and speak in English
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills
- Must be dependable
- Must be flexible
- Willingness to work in other areas of the store, as needed with little or no advance notice
- Must adhere to a uniform dress code
- Ability to reach, bend, twist, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 30 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
- Ability to move heavy product with assistance
- Ability to stand, walk and / or move about for extended periods of time
- Ability to push, pull, grasp and use sawing motions for extended periods of time
- Ability to demonstrate, understand and apply workplace values
- Attentively listens to others and understands the unique needs of different audiences

Desired Qualifications
- Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools and power equipment, including but not limited to knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine, and power saw (where certified to cut meat)
- Company work history, including attendance, work performance, safety, policy compliance and performance management
- Language proficiency in Spanish or other languages
