Conduct classroom management by reading instructions to pupils, supervising lessons, checking seat work, and relieving teachers for conferences or emergencies. Assist with individualized programs, one-on-one or group instruction, and dictating directions while working under direct teacher supervision. Manage routine classroom behavior, check objective tests, and prepare audio-visual materials and activities. Support students who are absent and supervise children outside the classroom under teacher direction during hall, breakfast, or bus duties. Work a flexible schedule consistent with the school day, including in-service training, reporting to the principal as assigned.
