Job Summary
Support and monitor first-run CNC programs during production startup, making adjustments to improve cycle times, quality, and manufacturing efficiency. Collaborate with machinists, setup technicians, and production personnel to troubleshoot machining, tooling, fixture, and programming issues in real time. Update Mastercam programs, setup sheets, and documentation to reflect process improvements while assisting with continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and efficiency. Work closely with engineering teams to reduce downtime and optimize production processes.
Required Qualifications
- Previous CNC programming experience using Mastercam
- Experience working with CNC mills and/or lathes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with both programmers and machinists
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
