Job Summary
Support nurse staff and perform assigned duties, including assisting residents with activities of daily living, lifting, turning, and transporting them to beds, chairs, and bathtubs. Coordinate dining room services for meal setup, tray delivery, and feeding assistance while documenting intake and tracking resident weight changes. Monitor skin condition to report pressure areas or breakdowns, complete daily flow sheets, and notify supervisors of resident refusals or condition changes. Maintain CPR/BLS certification and hold a valid Michigan CNA credential or complete state-approved training within four months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the State of Michigan, or completion of a State-approved training program one (1) month of hire and certification acquired within 4 months of hire as required by the state
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Must have no disciplinary action in effect against certification
- Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella
- MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption
