Unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP) role supporting the nursing team across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care for surgical/procedural patients. Performs delegated tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including point of care testing, transport of patients, aseptic prep, sterile processing support, inventory management, and general unit duties. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of departmental clinical support or PCA orientation, and BLS/HeartSaver First Aid certification within 30 days of hire; CNA or MA experience preferred. Responsibilities encompass patient care activities, equipment and supply handling, sanitation and cleaning, documentation, and collaboration with healthcare providers in a high-stress hospital environment.
